Kingsmead Day Nursery’s Harvest Festival

Harvest is a time for celebrating and giving thanks, which is why we’re hosting our own Harvest Festival to help those less fortunate in our local community.

Two of our key values are Kindness & Respect, so it’s really important to us to teach the children to be friendly, generous and considerate of other people.

Our children, staff, parents and guardians will be gathering up as many donations as we can between now and 4 October to donate to the Winchester Basics Bank, an emergency food and clothing service for people who are facing difficulty following an unexpected event in their lives.

If you’d like to help us support this amazing charity, you can drop off any of the following items to our Donation Station in our reception area at the nursery:

  • Tinned fruit & veg
  • Tinned potatoes
  • Tinned meat & fish
  • Savoury Rice
  • Pasta/curry sauces
  • UHT Milk
  • Jam / marmite
  • Custard / rice pudding
  • Squash/Fruit juice
  • Dog & Cat food
  • Cleaning products & laundry tablets

We ask that you please do not donate items that are homemade, significantly dented or out of date.

Thank you so much for your support.
