Kingsmead Day Nursery’s Safari Summer Week

Fundraising for Marwell Zoo

The children at Kingsmead Day Nursery are working together with Kind Kangaroo, Responsible Rabbit and all of the other animals to get active and raise money to help Marwell Wildlife care for endangered animals.

Marwell Wildlife is delivering wildlife conservation programmes ranging from the reintroduction of desert antelopes in the Sahara through to community-based projects in northern Kenya, black and white rhino conservation in Zimbabwe and habitat restoration in the south of England.

These projects are making a positive impact and the successful outcomes are great BUT there is so much more that needs to be done which is why Kingsmead Day Nursery is fundraising to help secure the future of wildlife for generations to come.

The Safari Summer Week will take place from 26 – 29 June and will involve:

26 June:

Responsible Rabbit’s Big Clean Up – The children will be litter picking in local public spaces to make them great again for the community.

28 June:

Slow and steady doesn’t always win the race as the children get competitive on Safari Sports Day.

29 June:

Move for Marwell – a sponsored danceathon! The children are setting themselves a challenge to collectively dance for 1 hour non-stop.

Your support will make a huge difference:

If you’d like to support and sponsor the children in their activities, please visit our JustGiving page to donate, or complete the form we send them home with. All funds raised will go towards the Marwell Zoo Wildlife Charity.
